GPU Pinned
GPU Pinned saves a snapshot of your NVIDIA GPU settings and display configuration as a named profile. It restores on every reboot. Each customer gets the same GPU setup you chose.
What GPU Pinned does
NVIDIA Control Panel lets users change 3D settings, resolution, refresh rate, and more. In a gaming cafe, those changes persist across sessions. One user can leave the PC in a state the next user didn't ask for.
GPU Pinned lets you save up to 5 named profiles per PC. Configure your GPU settings the way you want, save a profile, and enable auto-restore. On every reboot, the active profile restores automatically at startup. Users can still change anything during their session. It resets on the next restart.
What GPU Pinned saves
Each GPU Pinned profile captures two things:
NVIDIA 3D settings
Everything configurable under "Manage 3D Settings": texture filtering, anti-aliasing, vertical sync, power management mode, shader cache, and all per-application profiles. This covers both the NVIDIA App and the classic NVIDIA Control Panel. Changes made in either tool are captured, since both write to the same underlying settings files on your PC.
Display configuration
The full display setup for each connected monitor is captured at the time of saving:
| Resolution | Width and height in pixels |
| Refresh rate | Hz (e.g. 60, 144, 165) |
| Color depth | Color quality (typically 32-bit) |
| Orientation | Landscape, portrait, or rotated |
| Monitor position | X/Y coordinates on the Windows desktop |
If you have multiple monitors, each one is captured individually. The full arrangement is restored.
How to use GPU Pinned
- Open GamePinned and go to the NVIDIA tab in the sidebar.
- Configure your GPU settings in NVIDIA Control Panel the way you want.
- Click Save New Profile. You can give it a name or leave it as the default ("Profile 1", "Profile 2", etc.).
- Turn on Auto-restore on startup. GPU Pinned will restore the profile on every reboot from that point forward.
Managing profiles
Each saved profile appears as a card in the NVIDIA tab. You can have up to 5 profiles per PC.
Active profile
One profile is marked as the active profile. This is the one GPU Pinned restores on startup. The active profile has a green accent and an AUTO badge. To change which profile is active, click Set Auto on any other profile.
Manual restore
Any profile can be restored immediately without rebooting. Click Restore on the profile you want to apply. Changes take effect right away.
Renaming a profile
Click Rename on the profile card. An inline text field appears. Type the new name and click Save.
Deleting a profile
Click Delete to remove a profile. If the deleted profile was the active one, the next most-recently saved profile becomes active automatically.
Auto-restore on startup
When enabled, GPU Pinned restores the active profile every time the PC boots. The first user of the day always gets your saved settings, not whatever the last user changed them to.
| When it runs | During Windows service startup, before any user logs in |
| What it restores | NVIDIA 3D settings and display configuration from the active profile |
| User sessions | Users can change anything during their session. Changes don't persist. |
| Requires | At least one saved profile and a valid paid license |
You can disable auto-restore at any time from the NVIDIA tab. The toggle is per-PC.
Requirements
| License | Elite or Pro (paid tier) |
| GPU | NVIDIA only (AMD and Intel not supported) |
| Drivers | Any recent NVIDIA driver (no specific version required) |
If no NVIDIA GPU is detected, the NVIDIA tab shows a notice and GPU Pinned is unavailable. GPU detection is automatic. No configuration needed.
Common questions
Will restoring break a game that's running?
Restoring changes display settings immediately. If a game is fullscreen when you restore, it may flicker or reset to windowed mode. Restore profiles when no games are running. Auto-restore on startup runs before any user is logged in, so it never interrupts an active session.
I get an error when saving. What's wrong?
Check that GamePinned has admin rights and that your antivirus isn't blocking access to the NVIDIA settings folder on your PC.
Can I save different profiles for different games?
Yes. NVIDIA's per-application 3D settings are part of the settings database and get saved with each GPU Pinned profile. If you have custom settings configured for specific games in NVIDIA Control Panel, those are included.
Does GPU Pinned work with multiple monitors?
Yes. All connected monitors are captured when you save a profile. Resolution, refresh rate, and position are restored for each monitor individually.
What happens if a monitor is disconnected between save and restore?
GPU Pinned applies settings only to monitors that Windows reports as active at restore time. Disconnected monitors are skipped. No errors occur.
I'm on a free plan. Can I still see the NVIDIA tab?
Yes. The tab is visible on all plans. GPU information is displayed. Saving, restoring, and managing profiles require an Elite or Pro license.
